When next you are shopping for mattresses in the South Bay area, look to that community’s most beloved of furniture stores—Nader’s La Popular. Founded sixty years ago by Charles A. Nader, the company would come to embody that man’s sense of goodness and sound business practice, both of which continue to characterize the operation well into the 21st century.
Whether Charles A. Nader realized his company would outlive him by decades is anyone’s guess; however, he could certainly trust that his values and sense of decency would live on in the generations he fathered. To his great credit, those generations have not only honored said values and sense of decency, they have continued to intertwine them with their furniture operation’s every business transaction. The result has been a degree of trust within the surrounding community that often eludes larger, less customer-focused businesses. Visit one of the three Nader’s La Popular showrooms and acquaint yourself firsthand with that difference.
Nader’s La Popular has over thirty California King mattress/foundation options on offer throughout its three South Bay showrooms. These include Beautyrest and Beautysleep mattresses, which typically feature SuperCool and Pocketed Coil® technology, along with foam encasements of one sort or another. Also in the California King category are a couple of Sealy Posturepedic® options, including the Anniversary Cushion Firm Mattress which provides a stable, ergonomic sleeping platform with its CoreSupport Center, SolidEdge HD System, and SealyCushion Foam.
In the Eastern King category, Nader’s La Popular has several mattress/foundation makes in stock. The Eloquence Memory Foam model is eight inches in thickness and features elastic memory foam with 2.5-pounds of density to it. Also in stock is the Felicity, a BedTech hybrid which utilizes 13-gauge, 6” coil units and supportive foam-encased sides for the sake of providing its occupant(s) with a supremely comfortable night’s rest. These and many others like them render the Eastern King category a gem in the Nader’s crown.
With 41 Queen options available in our various showrooms, this is our most wide-ranging mattress category in terms of styles, features, and pricing. Several Beautyrest and Beautysleep variants enrich the Queen-size lineup, with the Recharge World Class Jaelyn Lux and the Caitlyn representing the upper-echelon of what that larger brand has produced in recent years.
The Beautyrest’s Pocketed Coil® technology and SurfaceCool Plus Fiber contribute to a deep and restorative night’s rest for the sleeper. Adding to the Queen category’s excellent variety is the Galaxy 9” mattress, which features 13-gauge pocket coil innersprings and is designed for maximum absorption of weighted shock. Other models such as the Prado Plus and the Marielle Pillowtop are available in the Queen category, both of which are priced favorably and are exceedingly high in quality.
Nader’s La Popular boasts a broad variety of Full mattresses and foundations, with well over thirty options for sale in our three South Bay showrooms. The Audrina, for instance, utilizes both GelTouch® and Beautyrest Pocketed Coil® design elements in creating what can best be described as a supremely comfortable sleeping surface for the occupant.
Also available under the Full heading is the MST VI EuroTop Mattress, a design which features quilt foam and gel infusion, the latter of which contributes to superb lumbar comfort and stability. This mattress is also uniquely durable in its construction, ensuring a long lifespan within whatever bedroom it comes to populate.
Smaller only in size, certainly not in range of makes and styles, Nader’s La Popular keeps a good number of Twin mattresses and foundations in stock within its showrooms. Among these is the Crazy Quilt Mattress, a mattress design that situates 3/8-inch quilt foam and a Bonnell innerspring unit atop a Deluxe Continental Foundation. Its standard foundation is hardy in construction and built to withstand long-term use. Visit our showrooms to give the Crazy Quilt, along with any number of equally well-made counterparts, a test rest.
Stemming from what amounted to relatively humble origins, Nader’s La Popular has expanded its South Bay presence sufficiently to render its three showrooms (Gardena, Carson, Signal Hill) conveniently accessible to community members throughout the larger region. To its great credit, this expansion has not seen the family owned and operated business part ways with its underlying principles.
Though a larger operation than was the case in 1956, Nader’s continues to operate precisely as it did under the leadership of its respectable founder. This truth is clearly apparent from location to location, without exception.
